Best Minecraft Servers

Finding the best Minecraft servers depends on what kind of server you want to play. When going through the list, it is usually best to start by deciding on a gamemode, since each one has different features, rules, and competitiveness. If you want a calmer multiplayer experience similar to normal singleplayer survival, you might be a fan of survival servers, while Cobblemon may be worth checking out if you want Minecraft to feel more modded or customized. If you are more of a competitive player and like constant action, leaderboards, or fighting other players, PvP servers may be the better choice. Either way, there are plenty of different kinds of Minecraft servers to choose from, so the best option mostly depends on how you like to play.

After you know what kind of Minecraft server you want to play, the next things to check are player count, uptime, supported version, and server rules. Some people like smaller servers because they are usually more community based and less toxic, while others prefer larger servers because there is normally something happening at most hours of the day. Either way, before joining it is also worth checking the server's description, website, or Discord so you know whether griefing, PvP, swearing, or other behavior is allowed.

Why can't I connect to a Minecraft server?

Fortunately, most issues with connecting to a server are easy to check. The first thing to check is the Minecraft version you are using. Most servers support multiple versions at the same time, but you should still confirm you are using a supported version by checking the server's listing. Next, make sure the server supports the edition of the game you are on. Bedrock players cannot connect to Java based servers unless crossplay is enabled. If the version and edition look correct, make sure the IP was entered correctly and try again. Your internet connection or distance from the server can also make it take longer to connect, so it is worth trying a couple of times. If it still will not connect, the server could be full, whitelisted, restarting, temporarily offline, or require a modpack or resource pack. If all else fails, your best option is to pick a different Minecraft server from the list.

How do I join Minecraft servers from this list?

Joining a server from our list is easy: choose whether you are looking for Bedrock servers or Java servers, use the filters to find servers that work on your device and Minecraft version, copy the server's address from the IP column, open Minecraft, click Multiplayer, then click Add Server. Give the server any name you want, paste the IP into the Server Address field, click Done, then double click the server or click Join Server. If you are joining on Bedrock, make sure to copy the Bedrock address and port if the server lists one.
